Steel of Tasril
The race of men is a widely varied group, known for wisdom as often as imprudence; grace as often as ineptitude; strength as often as cowardice. What sets humans apart from other races in Tasril is their ambition. Men built the kingdom of Goldenhelm, and men were the driving force behind the unification of the Empire. Though the Empire is comprised of many nations of different races, its leaders are mostly human.
In Tasril there are four distinct groups of men: Skalds, Cordds, Lerosians, and Calns. Skalds are typically fair skinned and dark haired. They are come from the lands north of the Bay of Ostany and south of the Silverback Mountains; the area that makes up most of Goldenhelm. Corrds are generally taller and broader in build, with fair skin and hair ranging from brown to red. They originate from the valleys throughout the Silverback Mountains and the regions east of that range. They are often known as Mountain Men or Northmen. Lerosians are typically dark haired with olive complexions. They occupy the hilly Leros peninsula. Calns are fair skinned with hair that usually ranges from light brown to blond. Their tightly knit communities can be found all over Tasril, amongst human cities or in secluded rural townships. Calns are often referred to as Pagans because of their heretical beliefs in gods other than those in the Pantheon.
The Fjordmen of Leksvik are thought to be closely related to Cordds, and they have similar physical build and features.
